TATTOOS

Warning: Tattooing DOES NOT end by your departure from our studio!

To ensure that your tattoo looks as beautiful once it has healed as it does immediately after it’s been done, it is important to look after it for at least two weeks after its completion. This care is equally essential as the tattooing itself. It is crucial to realize, that after the completion, the tattoo is actually an open wound which is exposed to the effects of the environment and also to the possible infections. Therefore, it is extremely important to protect it and to treat it appropriately.

HOW TO DO THIS:

  1. Immediately after the completion of the tattoo, the skin is moisturised and covered with a cling film. The cling film should be kept on your tattoo for at least 3 hours or until you get home or to other clean environment.
  2. After the recommended time, the cling film should be carefully removed and tattoo washed with antibacterial soap under tepid running water. You should then dry it with a clean towel or disposable tissues.
  3. Only on the third day begins using healing cream. (products TATTOO GOO can be purchased directly in our studio, however, you could also use creams such as Calcium Panthotenicum or Nechtikova Indulona). You shouldn’t cover your tattoo anymore. We recommend that clothes that come into contact with your tattoo are clean and loose-fitted.
  4. During the period of the first 3 days your tattoo should be always washed with antibacterial soap and after drying always moisturised: at most twice times a day.
  5. For the period of first 10 days DO NOT have a bath, only shower! Furthermore, avoid saunas or swimming in the pools, lakes or ponds (this is because of the high risk of an infection).
  6. Tattoo should be kept moisturised for the period of 14 days. After this period, you should still look after it using hydrating cream or body lotion with higher content of vitamin E (products TATTOO GOO can be purchased directly in our studio).
  7. During the first month since having your tattoo done, we don’t recommend exposure of your tattoo to the direct sun light or the use of sun bed.
  8. Symptoms: during the healing period your tattoo could hurt a little; this uncomfortable sensation is later replaced by itching. Itching is a positive sign which indicates that your tattoo is healing successfully. Small scabs that should not be removed could appear on your skin throughout this healing phase. You could remove the tattoo itself by the removal of these scabs.

PIERCING

Same rules apply for piercing: piercing DOES NOT end by your departure from our studio!

How to look after the fresh piercing is described below.

  1. Immediately after the application of the piercing, the pierced part of the body could turn red or swell. You don’t need to worry: it is a common occurrence that normally disappears within 3 days.
  2. Piercing should be treated with specialized cosmetics – we recommend cosmetics TATTOO GOO, which could be purchased in our studio. Unfortunately, there are generally no substitutions available in terms of cosmetics regarding the piercing (while this is not the case with tattoo after care).
  3. Avoid touching your piercing with hands and also any contact of the piercing with other objects for at least one week. Moreover, the piercing shouldn’t be mechanically strained, pulled or exposed to other similar impacts.
  4. The healing period of the piercing depends on the place of its application, for instance:
    • tongue, eyebrows, nose, ear approximately 2 weeks
    • lips, chin and belly button approximately 4 to 6 weeks
  5. iercing should not be removed for at least 1 month, i.e. during the healing period. There is a risk that it won’t be possible to apply it to its original place.
  6. he place of the piercing should be washed with antibacterial soap.

We also offer jewellery made from titanium that doesn’t cause any allergic reactions (which could be caused by other materials such as surgical steel, silver or gold).
